By downloading, installing, or using Forge, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Forge is a journaling app that uses artificial intelligence to provide reflective analysis of your written entries. The app is designed to help you think more clearly about your experiences and decisions. Forge is not a medical, therapeutic, or mental health service.

The AI-generated analysis provided by Forge is for personal reflection purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, therapy, or treatment. Forge is not a licensed counselor, therapist, or healthcare provider.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988, or contact emergency services in your area.

You should not rely on Forge's analysis to make medical, legal, financial, or other professional decisions. Always seek the advice of qualified professionals for such matters.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Forge. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

You retain full ownership of all journal entries, photos, and any other content you create within Forge. We do not claim any rights to your content. Your content is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to it.

When you request an AI analysis, the text of your journal entry is sent to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) for processing. By using the analysis feature, you consent to this transmission. The AI provider processes your text to generate the analysis and does not use your content to train their models.

AI-generated analysis may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. You are responsible for evaluating any analysis and deciding how to act on it. We are not liable for any decisions you make based on AI-generated content.

Forge offers a free trial period followed by a paid subscription. Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Your subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription in your device's Settings under your Apple ID.

Subscription prices may change. Any price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing period following notice.

You agree not to use Forge to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app
• Interfere with or disrupt the functionality of the app or its associated services
• Use the app in any way that could harm or overburden third-party services used by the app

Forge, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these terms.

Forge is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any AI-generated analysis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Forge, including but not limited to damages for loss of data, emotional distress, or decisions made based on AI-generated content.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to Forge at any time, for any reason, without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases. Your locally stored data remains on your device.

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of Forge after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Forge shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
